Your name can sometimes be the most valuable thing you own. Last year, NBA icon Michael Jordan was awarded $8.9 million from now-defunct grocery store Dominick’s Finer Foods simply for their use of his name on a steak ad. Though locked up, drug czar Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzman is feeling like Mike in regards to an upcoming Netflix series based on his life. While behind bars and awaiting possible extradition, El Chapo is threatening legal action against the streaming service for the series.

Netflix announced a partnership with Univision to co-produce the series titled El Chapo, in May. After airing on UniMas, the series is expected to hit Netflix sometime in 2017. “We are thrilled to partner with the award-winning Univision Story House on the timely and globally relevant drama series based on the life story of El Chapo,” said Netflix chief content officer Ted Sarandos. Univision CEO Randy Falco added, “El Chapo is a great example of how Univision continues to innovate and evolve with premium storytelling formats.”

However, El Chapo and his legal team aren’t having it. According to Fansided:

Andrés Granados, an attorney representing Joaquin “El Chapo” told the Associated Press that they will sue Netflix is the streaming service uses his “El Chapo” nickname without compensating him first.

Though it has been said that he had a thirst for fame, and wanted to have movies shot about his life, El Chapo’s a shrewd businessman and isn’t going to let his experiences be given away for free. Hopefully the History Channel has paid up for its planned El Chapo series.
