Even after withdrawing from the presidential race, Bernie Sanders cannot seem to catch a break.

Senator Bernie Sanders is set to address the 2016 Democratic National Convention in Philadephia. Starting today [Monday, July 25] and ending on Thursday [July 28], the four-day convention comes after Democratic National Committee Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz’s announcement to step down from her position. Prompting the decision, several leaked confidential emails exchanged among the DNC officials discussing ways to undermine the Vermont Senator’s campaign recently surfaced [Friday, July 22].

Schultz’ decision to resign was rallied by Sanders for her bias and unprofessional behavior, which he believed made her unqualified for her position.

Amidst the email drama, Sanders is still set to follow the DNC schedule accordingly by delivering the opening remarks. Openly speaking on how to move forward with the presidential election, Sanders has touched on the importance of backing his former competitor Hilary Clinton over Republican candidate Donald Trump and, according to USA Today, will drive the point home during his speech at the DNC.
